on the 12th Day of Christmas…. “Hot Buttere-Drum”

Hot Buttere-D’Rum Recipe

  • 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) room temperature
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup spiced rum
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 4 cinnamon sticks for garnish

Using an electric mixer, beat the brown sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt in a medium bowl until blended and smooth. Transfer the mixture to a 4-cup (or larger) measuring cup. Add the rum and then 2 cups of boiling water. Stir until the butter mixture dissolves. Divide the buttered rum among 4 mugs. Garnish with the cinnamon sticks and serve.

Piping Peppermint Spiked Hot Chocolate

Piping Peppermint Hot Cocoa Recipe

  • hot cocoa mix
  • hot water
  • peppermint schnapps
  • vanilla vodka
  • peppermint whipped cream / or unflavored
  • marshmallows, peppermint flavored if desired

Prepare cup of hot chocolate per mix directions. Leave enough room in the cup for adding 1 shot of vanilla vodka and 1 shot of peppermint schnapps. Top with as much whipped cream as desired. Garnish with a few marshmallows. Optional garnish is a small peppermint stick. Be careful when serving! This one is hot!

on the 10th Day of Christmas…. Leaping Lords Grasshopper!

Leaping Lords Grasshopper

  • ice cubes
  • vanilla vodka
  • equal parts white and green creme de menthe
  • equal parts light and dark creme de cocoa
  • splash of cream

In a shaker cup with a few ice cubes in it for chilling the cocktail, add one shot of vanilla vodka, one shot of white creme de menthe, one shot of green creme de menthe, and one shot each of light and dark creme de cocoa. Top it with a splash of whole cream. Cover the shakers cup and shake joyously! Strain as you pour the cocktail into a Christmas themed glass of your choice!

On the 9th Day of Christmas… Santa’s Dancing Hat Martini

Dancing Santa’s Hat Martini

  • ice cubes
  • Malibu or Kingston Rum
  • Cranberry juice
  • Grenadine
  • powdered sugar
  • water
  • fresh flaked coconut

In a shaker glass filled half way with ice, pour 1 and a half ounces of rum along with 2 ounces of cranberry juice. Add one “splash” of grenadine. Cover the shaker glass and shake until mixed.

Pour the mixture into a coconut rimmed martini glass.

For the rim… spoon 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar into a small bowl and add just enough water to make a wet icing. it should just barely cling to the rim of the glass and not be too thick to create chunks.

Pour the icing on to a small plate and dip the rim of the glass in the icing. Immediately dip the iced rim into a plate of coconut flakes. The flakes should stick to the icing. The icing should create a near hardened but very tasty glue for the coconut to stick.

On the 8th Day of Christmas… Maidenly Eggnog Martini

Maidenly Eggnog Martini

  • ice cubes
  • high quality egg nog without alcohol mixed in already
  • vanilla vodka
  • Rumchatta
  • cinnamon or nutmeg, ground

In a shaker glass, add ice cubes til the glass is half full. Pour into the shaker glass 1 ounce of vanilla vodka, 1 ounce of Rumchatta, and 3 ounces of eggnog. Cover the shaker glass and shake until mixed.

Pour the mixture into a beautiful martini glass. Sprinkle freshly ground cinnamon or nutmeg on top. Serve with a decorative napkin.

On the 7th Day of Christmas… Black Swan Lemonade

On the 6th Day of Christmas… Fireside Cocktail

Fireside Cocktail aka Grey Goose Martini

  • Grey Goose brand vodka
  • 3 green olives, skewerd
  • ice

In a shaker glass filled with ice, pour 3 ounces of Grey Goose vodka. Shake for a few seconds and then empty the chilled vodka into a martini glass. Garnish with the skewered olives.

On the 5th Day of Christmas…. Golden Cadillac

Golden Cadillac Cocktail

  • Shaker Glass filled with ice
  • 1 and a half ounce of Galliano, a sweet herbal Italian liquor
  • 1 and a half ounce of Creme de Cocao
  • 1 and a half ounce of heavy cream
  • fresh ground nutmeg

In your favorite shaker glass filled with ice, pour in equal parts Galliano, Creme de Cacoa and heavy cream. Shake gently.

Pour mixture into a beautiful cocktail glass noting the golden color. Top with fresh grated nutmeg!

Perfect as a happy hour or after dinner drink!
